Andes Community Days 2017 – a two day festival celebrating the history and culture of Andes, past and present.

Andes is often thought of as ‘the town up the mountain’, and many don’t know of the hidden treasures of the past and some of the new additions of the present that are part of what residents here call home.

This year, Andes Community Day has expanded into two days so we can to share and celebrate all that is Andes. As a result, and with the support from our amazing local farms and businesses, a festival of events that won’t be found anywhere else will take place on Andes Community Days August 12th & 13th.

“Come One, Come All!” boasts the flyers and we mean it. Events are planned celebrating the history, the farms, the local business, and the abundant outdoor recreation that IS Andes – there’s something for everyone! Following the kick-off event parade with floats and bands, the Andes 90th Annual Community Days is packed with celebrating local foods, nature walks and paddles, games, museum tours, farm tours, dance in the park, film at the new Train Depot, art, classic car show, more food, clowns and music!

SEE for yourselves on the schedule and map below. As part of the Catskill Mountain Scenic Byway Signature Event, Andes celebrates its historical importance as the town where the end of feudalism in America began; and as a town that not only survived the building of the reservoirs but also continues to grow with the support of community. YES – come one, come all!
